Implications of the new Adoption Law: New provisions of Law N° 6486

The purpose of this work is to analyze the modifications made to the adoption regulations. Such an approach is necessary because its promulgation is recent and therefore little known. This task was achieved through the bibliographic review. The analysis clarified the doubts regarding the new provisions established in the legislation. With the promulgation in 2019 of the new Law N° 6486, the promotion and protection of the rights of children and adolescents to live with family is guaranteed, and also regulates alternative care measures and adoption. It should be noted that this research seeks to specifically inform the modifications related to the adoption institute specifically.
