Perception on public safety in the city of Quiindy

The perception of public safety is an issue of utmost importance today, the purpose is to have a look at what citizens think, and the objective of this study is to analyze the perception of public safety in the city of Quiindy. The type of research is descriptive, not experimental of a quantitative nature. A closed questionnaire was used; the sample was 198 citizens from different neighborhoods of the city of Quiindy, Department of Paraguarí, Paraguay. The result showed that corruption and the lack of punishment of criminals and, in turn, justice that does not fulfill the role that should make the perception of public safety negative and very discouraging.
